In the spring of 1994, several couples began sharing their mutual burden for Christian education with one
another. After many hours of prayer, research, interviews, committee meetings, and hard work, Johnson County Christian Academy
was born. JCCA was officially founded in 1994. In the fall of 1996, the school opened with classes for 1/2 day kindergarten
through 3rd grade. God has led many more families to continue this educational ministry and we now offer year- round, DFS
approved daycare, preschool options, kindergarten readiness, and kindergarten through eighth grades and extended
before and after school care hours. Students represent over 15 different Christian affiliations and over 25 local churches
within Johnson County, Missouri. JCCA admits students without regard to race, sex, or national or ethnic origin.
Johnson County Christian Academy is a not-for-profit religious community school operating as a Missouri corporation organized
under section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS code. The school is governed by a nine
member School Board. The Board consists of elected family members of students and members of the Christian community, in accordance
with the articles and bylaws; they charge the Administrator with directing operations, implementing policies and providing
leadership and supervision for staff and faculty. The school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International
(ACSI) and is engaged in the process towards ACSI accreditation.
JCCA is not beholden
to a particular church or denomination, but adheres uncompromisingly to Biblical truth and a basic statement of faith that
is common to all born again believers: One, triune God; the inerrant written Word of God; the Deity of Christ; human fellowship
with their Creator; separation by sin and redemption by grace; and Christ as the head of the church.
JCCA is located at
401 S. Walnut Centerview, Missouri 64019. The aptly named Centerview is truly the geographical center of Johnson County; it
is approximately 55 miles east of Kansas City and 5 miles west of Warrensburg, MO. Warrensburg is the county seat and the
home of Central Missouri State University. Whiteman AFB, home of the B-2, is 15 miles east of JCCA.
