Doug Fritts
was born in Avon, Illinois on August 31, 1944. Doug graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He, then attended The College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Missouri earning a B.S. in Biology. He then attended Central
MO State University and earned a M.S. in Zoology. Doug has also done graduate work at the University of Missouri - Kansas
City, and the University of Missouri - Columbia. After thirty years as a public school teacher and track coach, Mr.
Fritts retired from the Raytown School District in 2000. He then taught and coached at Lutheran High School of Kansas City
for seven years. This is the 2nd year that Mr. Fritts has taught science and Bible at JCCA. Doug is married to Lola
Fritts. They have two sons, captain Joel Fritts, United States Marine Corps, and Stephen Fritts. They have four
grandchildren, Ethan (a 1st grader at JCCA), Ella, Eli, and James. Doug serves as a deacon and Sunday S chool teacher
at Northern Hills Baptist Church. He is also an active member of the Gideons International. For twenty-five years,
Mr. Fritts has served in the Republic of Haiti as a short-term missionary.
